Îtëvî-qênifî Bî (/ɪˈtëvɪ/ /qɘˈnifɪ/ [painful] [truth]) is a subtropical Town located in the Lîsithapíe Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Îtëvî-qênifî Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Îtëvî-qênifî Bî was founded by Rāy Ma̋mbónḱ 'Ebony Pink' Mētḩlāy Mpfē̌sh Ré̄r Glegadonka, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Îtëvî-qênifî Bî has a yearly average temperature of 28°C (82°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 32°C (89°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Overview

Îtëvî-qênifî Bî was founded durring the late 14th century in winter of the year 1293, by Rāy Ma̋mbónḱ 'Ebony Pink' Mētḩlāy Mpfē̌sh Ré̄r Glegadonka. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Îtëvî-qênifî Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Îtëvî-qênifî Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Îtëvî-qênifî Bî is buildings are arranged arround a single narrow packed earth mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The peasent-grade has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

Îtëvî-qênifî Bî has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Îtëvî-qênifî Bî ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. On top of this is an unmistakable feeling that Îtëvî-qênifî Bî is in this condition because there is something terribly wrong with the town. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine which makes you worry someone might stab you in a dark ally for your boots. It’s not filthy, or dark, but the smiles seem strained, the locals seem to glare daggers in eachothers backs a little too much, and everyone is armed at all times. You may want to keep an eye on your valuables, and make sure you don’t wind up in any position of power. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Îtëvî-qênifî Bî long.

Civic Infrastructure

Îtëvî-qênifî Bî has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Îtëvî-qênifî Bî. Îtëvî-qênifî Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Îtëvî-qênifî Bî's natural decorations nor waterways.

Îtëvî-qênifî Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Îtëvî-qênifî Bî has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Îtëvî-qênifî Bî's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is skipped in Îtëvî-qênifî Bî.

The Bat, Mobat near Îtëvî-qênifî Bî are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Îtëvî-qênifî Bî's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves consuming a local narcotic to channel Invocation energies of tier 1 via divine sermons.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Îtëvî-qênifî Bî was attacked by savage tribes living nearby Îtëvî-qênifî Bî. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Îtëvî-qênifî Bî lost 190 people, 234 livestock, and 47 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 84, when members of Îtëvî-qênifî Bî's militia enacted an operation to fortify a particular mine. The operation was complicated by the enemy forces had far more numbers than estimated. The conflict ended with the defense of the mine against a siege, which ended in defeat for Îtëvî-qênifî Bî's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Îtëvî-qênifî Bî's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
